Running the Game - Complete Instructions

Developer Mode must be turned on your OS. My installer tries to turn it on automatically, but if fails, make sure to turn it on manually
Game executable must be blocked in the firewall - otherwise the game will crash. My installer tries to add the blocking rule automatically, but if it fails, make sure to block "FH4Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.exe" manually
If the automated crack doesn't work for you in auto-mode, check "Manual Crack Installation Guide.txt" in game root
Your save game is in "%LOCALAPPDATA%PackagesMicrosoft.SunriseBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbweLocalStateSAVES". This gets DELETED when FH4 is uninstalled, so make sure you back it up (the whole folder) if you think you'll ever want to re-install
This save game data is not compatible with the Microsoft Store version.
As the main .exe has been changed to Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.exe, if you run things like Rivatuner, MSI Afterburner, Wallpaper Engine and other similar apps, their built-in exception list will have ForzaHorizon4.exe listed
To work around this you'll need to add a user exception to not inject it's overlay into the new exe name. Any DLL injection into FH4 is frowned upon from its scanner (and will cause crashes even in the Microsoft Store version). If your application doesn't allow exceptions, turn it off completely before running the game

Game is working fine if you are on windows (windows 1903) and follow these instructions rn F4Install.bat { available in game directory and in every expansion after instal} as admin rn- Make sure to paste the batch file in the FH4, FH4_FortuneIsland and FH4_lego folders.rnOnly run the bat file with ADMIN Privileges starting with the FH4 folder first. No viruses you antivirus is a virus turn that off (falsern positive) or make it exeption.rnI have windows defender and did not detect anything on my testing pc.

My 2nd post in this thread full of literal retards. Got the game finally downloaded because my tethered cellphone 4g likes to disconnect every fucking hour. Anyways, easy install, updated Win10 to 1903 after my fucking system reserve partition was full and wouldn't let me update. Thanks FITGIRL for forcing me to get off my ass and update my shit.rnrnAnyways, get 1903 update. rnrnTURN OFF YOUR ANTIVIRUS AND WINDOWS DEFENDER AND WINDOWS FIREWALL.rnrnGo into Windows Defender Security Center and clock on Virus & Threat Protection Settings, scroll down to exclusions and add an exclusion for the entire Forza Horizon 4 folder. (do this right after you install the game, since the folder will be newly created by the installer)rnrnNow go into Windows Firewall and make 2 rules for inbound and outbound traffic, for the Forza Horizon 4 EXE. Block all internet access for both rules. If you're feeling extra concerned, do the same for the FH$_AutoUWP EXE as well, 2 rules, block in and out traffic.rnrn(option extra measure, disconnect your internet) I personally did not have any issue keeping my shitty cellphone tethered, but I already blocked the game from trying to connect.rnrnLastly, copy+paste the Anti-Crash Launcher located in the main Forza Horizon 4 directory into ALL 3 of the FH4, FH4_FortuneIsland and FH4_Lego folders, located in the main game directory. Proceed to run that BAT file once, beginning with the FH4 folder, then FH4_FortuneIsland folder, and then FH4_Lego folder.rnrnGo ahead and boot the game up. A small black command prompt panel will run along next to to the game's window. Hit enter onces when it prompts you to there and go ahead and wait for the forza game to boot up.rnrnTHATS IT YOU'RE DONE. Unlike some suggestions "CRWATCH" posted, I didn't have to update or regress any drivers or software to make this work. If you're unsure what DX version you have, update that during the installation options.rnrnBeen playing the last hour, no crashes no nothing. Enjoy you ungrateful cheap bastards.
