Rhys and Fiona are not the only ones hunting for the Vault. Vault hunters, bounty hunters, Vasquez and a giant monster wants a piece of the vault. To further complicate matters, Rhys is being haunted by nightmares of a dead despot.
Following the Gortys Project to a top secret Vault, Rhys and Fiona must steal some supplies from an abandoned Atlas factory. While Rhys tries to escape from Handsome Jack's shadow, the group attempts to learn more about the Gortys Project while being hunted by both Hyperion and the vengeful August.
Atlas Mugged continues Telltale’s insanely hilarious ride through the world of Pandora. Likewise, having characters pose and stare at the screen when they’re introduced, completely confusing those around them as to what they’re looking at, just adds to the dense layers of jokes throughout Atlas Mugged. While all of this is great, I’m still not entirely sold on Tales’ inventory and currency systems.
Episode 2 (titled Atlas Mugged ) is expected to be released at or shortly after January 27th February 17th, 2015. Update: For unknown reasons Episode 2 has been postponed by a full month, until Tuesday March 17th, 2015.
Get the latest news and videos for this game daily, no spam, no fuss. It’s absurd, lewd, and hilarious. The bounty on Fiona’s head brings one of the series’ deadliest assassins out to play: Athena.
We’ve seen movie sequels come out quicker than that before, and frankly it’s all getting a bit silly. Finishing your game before releasing it might be a mantra more usually aimed at big name blockbusters but it’s also one that would help Telltale and other episodic games.
Telltale’s good at those first impressions. There are some very good things in this episode: being chased by moon shots; Vaughn talking while peeing; Fiona and Rhys continuing to be unreliable narrators.
