Despite the previous title getting a decidedly lukewarm reception (though I personally found it highly amusing and one of the few things that approached doing mech suits right) Capcom greenlit a third entry into the main series though this is technically a "distant past" type prequel where the planet is still being made habitable. Rather than do it in house though it seems Capcom have farmed it out to Spark Unlimited, a developer that has a less than brilliant back catalogue though hardly the worst out there.
