I used to have PS3 myself and these steps usually solved the stuck update problem for me.
An exploit is a vulnerability that can be triggered within a game that allows the player to use a bug to give the player an unintended advantage. Some of these bugs get patched, so they may no longer work if the game has been updated with the most recent patches. If an exploit has been patched on all platforms of the game it will be removed from the page. All of these exploits have been confirmed at one point in time to be working.
