The ps3 just can't handle everything Skyrim is trying to do. It's playable for sure, and a system reset solves most of the lag issues, but saving and reloading are painfully slow, freezes are common, saves get corrupted, and the game can often become a chore at some of the most enjoyable times in the game. I'm very new to the Elder Scrolls franchise and the original Skyrim was a gift for Christmas several years back. Overall I fell in love with the open world and create your own adventure aspect it introduced.
