Still, 1953 - KGB Unleashed does a good job with creating an atmosphere like no many adventure games do these days. I wouldn't describe it as a "horror" title, but it's definitely eerie and would make you feel isolated and uncomfortably tensed. The story started a little bland to my taste but it gets interesting.
The KGB also deeply leaded the walls so that the bio-waves wouldn't escape as the few executed telepaths' ghosts were attacking the KGB soldiers psychologically; making them paranoid and sick. You are a KGB agent who was knocked unconscious during Stalin's execution and left forgotten in the bunker The ghost realised the experimentation going on was an ignorant fear of psychics (maybe why Hitler tried to do what he did as well) so the ghost decided he would let this KGB member go free if he could prove to the ghost that.
