I'm using Black Flag's standard 3440x1440 setting (which is normal widescreen with black bars on the sides to fill it out) where the game runs well .
I'm using Black Flag's standard 3440x1440 setting (which is normal widescreen with black bars on the sides to fill it out) where the game runs well enough on my 1080 with the fancy graphics features turned on. What I did instead was modify the FOV. That made it playable for me. It was a revelation. Run Black Flag and load your game.
