Update 24 of Universe Sandbox is a huge update that adds new layers of detail to the simulation and new ways to experiment with planets, moons, and entire systems. And did we mention the lasers?

I got the Grids and Lasers update this afternoon and unfortunately, this seems to have made things rather unplayable. I got the Grids and Lasers update this afternoon and unfortunately, this seems to have made things rather unplayable.
Universe Sandbox ² - Jar. August 26: Updates 2. 1 are hotfixes for startup issues for VR users and users with older processors. Update 2. adds a bunch of improvements and fixes to the galaxy simulation, making for more stable and accurate galaxies and better collisions. There’s also a new and improved Introduction tutorial and a new simulation of 2019 OK, the near-Earth asteroid that surprised astronomers when it was observed just a day before it flew past us on July 25, 2019. Some more highlights from Update 2. : Improved handling for galaxies & smaller-scale objects.

Surface Grids & Lasers are here! This is a big update that adds new layers to the simulation and new ways to experiment with planets, moons, and entire systems: Simulate Surfaces Surface Grids is a huge, complex feature that simulates the surfaces of planets, moons, and other objects. Every one of these objects now has simulated water levels, water and vapor flow, local temperature, material states like snow and ice, and more

Universe Sandbox is an interactive space gravity simulator video game and educational software. Using Universe Sandbox, users can see the effects of gravity on objects in the universe and run scale simulations of the Solar System, various galaxies or other simulations, while at the same time interacting and maintaining control over gravity, time, and other objects in the universe, such as moons, planets, asteroids, comets, and black holes.
Universe Sandbox ² includes the desktop version and a new VR mode with support for the HTC Vive. This is a free, automatic update. SIMULATE GRAVITY N-body simulation at almost any speed using Newtonian mechanics. Real science, real physics, no supercomputer required. MODEL EARTH'S CLIMATE Watch sea ice grow and recede with the seasons because of the tilt of the Earth: change the tilt and change the seasons. Or move the Earth farther from the Sun and freeze the entire planet.
