All the Endless DLCs coming out have been really lackluster recently. Re: Penumbra: Penumbra is good when you specifically want to play as or against the Umbral Choir, as noted above; they make an excellent "end game crisis" when playing against them. I would, however, recommend playing 1-2 difficulty levels higher, if possible, when playing as the UC; they're just "that" powerful/OP, even after the nerf from the last patch. If I want a more "standard" game that "tastes" more like ES2 has been to date, I disable Penumbra. So far, I play with the DLC enabled about 1/2 the time shrug.
