Devil May Cry 4 is a hack and slash game that was released by Capcom in 2008 for Xbox 360 and PS3. It was later released for PC with additional content namely: Turbo mode and Legendary Dark Knight mode. However, the PS3 version lacked trophy support so Capcom decided to re-release it 7 years later with new playable characters with their original movesets, new costumes for every character, and the exclusive content from the PC version.
Despite Capcom and the creators hardly giving us any straightforward answers to big questions in this fandom, (I personally don't think Nero is Vergil's child, but that's just me) the game play (with Nero at least) is really interesting and fun to play and different from the other games. Dante is a bit more limited and feels like you're playing as a slab of rock which was kind of sad. With beautiful artwork, incredible characters, and despite a questionable plot, DMC4 personally ranks highest amongst the others.
