The difference between the two modes is simple – Drag judges the fastest time over a quarter mile stretch, and Standing Mile judges the fastest speed achieved over a mile stretch.

The Speedhunters Pack adds two new game modes – Drag, which tasks you to get to the finish line as fast as possible in a blistering drag race, and Standing Mile, where the winner is whoever dares to push their vehicle to the breaking point and reach the higher speed at the end of one mile.

The Legends and Speedhunters DLC packs for Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed will be released for free on PC this week on EA's new digital download service, Origin. The two packs were released in April and May this year on the Xbox 360 as paid-for packs. As of June 30, this Thursday, they'll be free to all PC gamers.
