Little Nightmares:
Little Nightmares is an original platform game created by the independent band Tarsier Studios. Production was announced in 2015, initially under the title Hunger. The project, financed, among others, from the funds of the Nordic Game Program, won the title of "The best independent game" at gamescom 2016. The game hit many platforms, including on Windows PC.
In Little Nightmares, the player takes on the role of Six - a girl in a yellow raincoat, which was kidnapped by monsters and went to the complex called The Maw. The task that awaits her is to escape from this ghastly place - achieving the goal is not easy, because on the way the heroine has to face various dangers, inspired by childish nightmares.
Little Nightmares on the Windows PC platform brings to mind the productions of the iconic Limbo. The action is presented in a lateral perspective, and the game is based on jumping over platforms and solving environmental puzzles, requiring dexterity and logical thinking - this way we unlock the way to the next rooms, moving towards the exit from the Maw.
The protagonist's life threat is primarily a nightmare, overgrown opponents, such as a terrifying chef, with whom a girl armed only with a lighter is unable to fight. The player must therefore sneak behind them, being careful not to make too much noise around him - drawing the attention of the opponents may end up tragically for Six.
Little Nightmares is characterized by high-quality, three-dimensional graphic design. Against the background of other platform games, the title is distinguished primarily by the dark stylistics and subdued color palette.

Unlike the "stand", in Secrets Of The Maw we follow the fate of a new hero - a boy called The Runaway Kid - who tries to get out of the underwater resort called The Maw. The extension reveals the darkest secrets of the location and answers a number of questions that have not found an answer in the adventures of Six and presents her journey in a new light, because the adventures of The Runaway Kida cross several times with the girl's story. Interestingly, all three chapters that make up Secrets Of The Maw are stand-alone stories and can be played in any order, even without completing the basic version of the game, although the developers point out that it is best to play them in the order in which they appear on market.
The gameplay in Secrets Of The Maw is very similar to the one from the basic version of Little Nightmares. So it is a dark 2.5D platformer in which the fun lies in exploring and solving puzzles. Developers have introduced in the appendices three new locations in which we have unique tasks to perform. In the first chapter, entitled The Depths, we get to the deepest, flooded gaps of The Maw.
