So clearly the appetite is there for virtual reality exercise and thus Thrill of the Fight’s official launch on Oculus is a welcome one. However, unlike Beat Saber and BoxVR, which are simple forward-facing standing experiences, The Thrill of the Fight is proudly a room-scale only game. It’s brutally unforgiving in the most awesome way possible

All action in The Thrill of the Fight takes place within this play area created by your VR software. You will see this play area outlined on the floor as a red rectangle. Each time you start the game, take a moment to make sure the red rectangle is displaying as expected, that there are no obstacles within that space, and that you are willing to move and punch anywhere within that area. These weak areas are marked by the lights on the boxing dummy, and the info panel shows the amount of bonus damage you receive when you strike the boxing dummy. These weak areas are very important to target and allow you to easily dizzy your opponent or even score one-hit knockdowns.
While Thrill of the Fight absolutely requires room-scale VR (I almost broke a knuckle playing it in my old, smaller space), the release of the Oculus Quest port will make finding a suitable ring much easier
