The game was officially announced in 2006 with very different graphics, weapons, sound effects, and the open-world gameplay of POSTAL 2. Due to the publisher, Akella, nearly going bankrupt because of the 2007-2008 financial crisis, the PS3/X360/Mac/Linux ports were cancelled, with the game being released far from what Running with Scissors originally envisioned.

It is the third game in the Postal series, being the sequel to Postal 2, telling the story of the Postal Dude's adventures in a town named Catharsis, following directly from the ending of the second game in which the town of Paradise was destroyed by a nuclear bomb. Postal III was released for Microsoft Windows in December 2011.
Postal 3 has some sense of humor but it& too stupid and frankly. If you could spend your time with playing Postal (2003), now it sucks. Just save your 13$ and you& be glad.
Well Postal III was pretty ugly, The Dude seemed more friendly than an psycho. Открыть профиль Показать все сообщения. while I do enjoy postal 3 (it can be quite enjoyable despite it's many problems), I do agree that it feels very unfinished and I understand why so many people don't like the game (though postal is a very aquired taste anyway), but I see that the game has great potential if given back to RWS so. it can be properly finished.
In Postal III, The Postal Dude emigrates to Paradise's sister town of Catharsis as he previously blew up Paradise with a nuclear bomb. Due to the economic meltdown, the Dude drives into town and becomes stranded because he can not afford a tank of gas.
