Jewel board play is the same as previous games in the series. Whenever you make a match of at least 3, the jewels are removed from the board and the squares underneath turn from grey to gold. It is usually fastest to work the jewel board from the bottom up. That way you benefit from accidental matches as new jewels fall onto the board.
