Eye of the Beholder's dependence on Dungeon Master is so stark that you wonder why there weren't lawsuits involved. The similarities are readily apparent at the macro level-they're both first-person, multi-character, tile-based, real-time dungeon crawlers-and the micro level. There are a few differences, mostly caused by the integration of a Dungeon Master mechanic with AD&D rules: classes are different, the magic system is different, and leveling is by experience rather than use of skills. And of course, being a later game, Eye of the Beholder has better graphics, sound, and animation, though not staggeringly so.
Eye of the Beholster is a gun that fires lasers. The last shot of each clip spawns a friendly Beadie. Beadie shots deal 6 damage, the same amount as the gun itself. Behold! - If the player also has Com4nd0, M1911, Void Marshal, Machine Pistol, and Trank Gun (the weapons the Beholster uses in game), when the Eye of the Beholster is held, the other five guns rotate around the player and shoot at nearby enemies, still using up ammo from each gun.
